The printing of jewelry packaging is complicated and needs to be completed through a variety of processes. When customizing the jewelry packaging, the jewelry packaging factory will develop the printing plan according to the customer‘s packaging requirements, and then operate according to the process. The processing technology involved is mainly as follows.

When printing, the plate is fixed on the plate cylinder, to go through the process of wetting for ink. In the treated plate, the use of oil and water immiscible principle, so that the text part of the ink hate water, blank part hydrophilic. In the inking process, the positive image on the plate is transferred to the rubber of the transfer roller to form a negative image, and then the positive image on the rubber is imprinted on the paper by the embossing roller, so as to obtain a clear print.

2. Coat and finish

In order to improve the wear resistance, anti-fouling function and visual effect of printed parts, it is usually necessary to use film coating and glazing technology to improve the quality of printed parts and strengthen their functions.

(1) Texture

Also known as paste, the method is through the hot pressing device of special laminating machine, the plastic film of a certain thickness is pressed on the printed matter, so that the printed matter and the plastic film. The surface of the printed matter after the film is more smooth and bright, so as to improve the gloss and firmness of the printed matter, the color of the graphic is more vivid, full of three-dimensional effect, but also plays the role of waterproof, anti-fouling, wear-resisting and chemical corrosion resistance.

(2) Glass

Glazing method can be divided into partial glazing and complete glazing. Local glazing is mainly used for the parts that need to be highlighted, suitable for book covers, packaging boxes, etc., so that the picture is more three-dimensional; The overall glazing can increase the brightness of the paper surface and the abrasion resistance of the printed matter. Most book covers use comprehensive glazing technology.

3. Punch holes and embowel

The paper cutter can only cut straight lines. When printing products such as custom jewelry packaging need arc, window, indentation line and irregular curve, must be die-cut processing. Templates are processed by woodworkers to the basic shape required for packaging, also known as the "knife row" process, in which steel wire is embedded in the template and used to process the printed packaging into a final shape on a die cutter, or to press out the Crease for folding. Convexity is commonly known as "boring drum". The process is to press cardboard or other packaging materials through a mold made according to the outline of the image, so that the surface of the material presents a relief pattern. Pressure and heat reshape the paper to create the image. Depending on the material of the object, the mold can be metal, cardboard, or even felt cloth (such as the indentation of the fabric). Embossing can be combined with printing ink and ironing silver to achieve special effects. The same process can be used for die casting, but the difference is that the die casting process will die cast the front of the material to obtain a concave grain. Embossing a glass or plastic surface is an integral part of the molding process.
